Declaration
Please understand that Equine Body Work (EBW) is never a replacement for
proper veterinary care. The EBW is not a veterinarian and will not diagnose
conditions, perform surgery, attempt any adjustments/musculoskeletal manipulations
or prescribe medications, nutraceuticals or supplements for your horse.
EBW must be cleared with the attending veterinarian to ensure it is appropriate
for the horse at this time. Should the horse have to be seen by the veterinarian
throughout the therapy program for any reason other than routine health
checks/ vaccinations/etc. EBW must again be cleared with the veterinarian.
To authorise EBW on any horse you must be the owner / have permission from
the owner to do so. Please read and fully understand the client information
booklet, if there is any of it's contents you are unsure of do not hesitate
to ask me. Before the first session you will be required to sign a disclaimer
confirming you agree to all of the above.
Emergencies
If there is an emergency, such as your horse has an accident, do not contact
your equine body worker for emergency treatment, even if you suspect the
issue is muscular. An equine body worker is not a veterinarian and body
work can NEVER replace conventional veterinary care.
However, I do have an active interest in all of my clients, so if your
horse does become injured please feel free to call me to discuss and keep
me updated with the veterinarians diagnosis, prognosis, treatment course
etc. but please understand that I can not advise or get involved with
out the permission of the veterinarian.
